Our fall confirmation retreat was a great day.  We went down to Gustavus Adolphus College for a one day retreat.  It was the Satuday before reformation and our theme was making choices or standing up for what you believe in.  We spent time playing games, in small group discussion and performing skits about our learning.  We chose activities for free time and spent the afternoon with some cool college students.  In the evening we watched “Akeelah and the Bee”.  The confirmands liked the movie so much they even applauded at the end.  We highly recommend watching this family friendly movie.  A great day was had by all.

Confirmation youth, High School youth and adults came out on Saturday Oct 15th for our congregations bi-annual Highway Clean Up mission moment.  We had perfect weather and tremendous spirit.  The group enjoyed doughnuts, milk and juice before we went to work.  It was wonderful to hear peoples comments: “Wow this is a lot of trash, I had no idea!”  “That plastic is not good for our earth”  “I think I will put a small garbage bag in our/my car”  It was a great day to be together and the project brought home the idea of serving in our own community.  Hope you can join us in the spring!
